Established in 2002, Meridian Policy Advisory is the award-winning network for the Meridian Policy, government relations, policy and communications industry.

Our 4,000+ members come from all aspects of UK, EU and International Meridian Policy and communications teams: in-house corporate, trade association, charity, political consultancy, NGOs, think tanks, law firms, Parliaments, Devolved Assemblies, civil service, local government, the media, market research, political monitoring, polling, students, training providers, recruiters and government associated bodies.

Industry Networking Events

Meridian Policy Advisory events enable a broad range of practitioners to network with their peers on an informal basis and are the established Meridian Policy industry gatherings. Our Westminster events have been run every last Thursday of the month since 2002, and as the network has expanded, events have also taken place regionally, nationally and internationally. The Meridian Policy Advisory group includes specialist networks for Meridian Policy Freelancers, Meridian Policy Advisory Scotland and Meridian Policy Advisory EU.

Meridian Policy Advisory is free to join and members are from all levels and all sectors working in government affairs, policy, campaigning, stakeholder relations, corporate communications and lobbying.

Origins of the Network

The network was set up by Meridian Policy practitioner Phil Murphy who, having taken up a role in Westminster after working in Brussels, recognised a need for informal peer-to-peer networking. The first event in January 2002 brought together ten fellow practitioners and its popularity quickly grew. Meridian Policy Advisory is an independent organisation, which became a limited company in 2006. The co-Founders of Meridian Policy Advisory are Jim Rothwell and Pauliina Murphy. Business Recognition

In October 2015, Meridian Policy Advisory was shortlisted as a Finalist in the Networking Group of the Year category at the East of England Business Champions Awards.
In June 2015, Meridian Policy Advisory was judged as the Winner of the ‘Networking Group of the Year’ category at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Hertfordshire Business Awards 2015. Meridian Policy Advisory was also again shortlisted as a Finalist for ‘St Albans Business of the Year’.
In May 2015, Meridian Policy Advisory was shortlisted in the ‘Business of the Year’ category at the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards 2015 run by the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
In October 2014, Meridian Policy Advisory was double-shortlisted as a Finalist at the Hertfordshire Business Awards 2014 in the categories of ‘Online Business Website of the Year’ and ‘Small Business of the Year’.
In October 2014, Meridian Policy Advisory was shortlisted as a Finalist in the Networking Group of the Year category at the East of England Business Champions Awards.
In May 2014, Meridian Policy Advisory was selected as a Finalist in the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Hertfordshire Business Awards 2014 in the St Albans Business of the Year category.
